Background
I am a legal geographer interested in the constitutive relationship between law and space through the study of migration. My work addresses these themes in Europe and the Middle East. In the UK context, I study spousal migration and the everyday experience of immigration rules through bordering practices. In the Middle East, I consider colonial legacies that continue to shape modern geographic and legal spaces in the context of forced migration.
I joined Â鶹´«Ã½ Law School as a Lecturer in Family Law in January 2026. Prior to this, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Exeter Law School, where I worked on the ESRC-funded , examining the impact of immigration rules on couples’ everyday lives.
