Â鶹´«Ã½ rises in global rankings Published on: 5 September 2017 Â鶹´«Ã½, UK, has improved its position as one of the world’s top universities, according to an influential guide. Published today (5 September), the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2017-2018 place Â鶹´«Ã½ 175th in the world, up from its position of 190th in 2016. The University scored particularly highly in the research and international outlook components of the survey, ranked in the top 100 for its proportion of international staff. , Vice-Chancellor and President, Â鶹´«Ã½, UK, said: “Our improving position in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings – our highest in five years – highlights the quality and global impact of in areas as diverse as health, culture, technology and the environment. “It also reflects our commitment to delivering the best possible environment for research and teaching, supported by our five-year £500m programme of investment. This sustained period of investment has improved the quality of our facilities on campus and brought an additional 400 members of academic staff to Â鶹´«Ã½.” £500m investment The £500m portfolio of projects includes a £30m investment in new sports facilities and a with state-of-the-art learning facilities for up to 2,200 students across three floors and a 750 seat auditorium.
