National Professional Qualifications for School Leaders
NUELC, as a member of NETSP, has delivered NPQs since their inception, both as an independent provider and as part of national consortia - initially as a founding partner of School-Led network, and now delivering regionally with both UCL and National Institute of Teaching (NIoT). Â鶹´«Ã½ is also the assessment partner for NIoT nationally.
November 2026 NPQ Cohort
We are pleased to announce that NPQ registrations are now open for programmes starting in November, and we will be delivering NPQs across the North East.
We are proud to be partnering with two lead providers to deliver a comprehensive suite of NPQ programmes across the region. Our delivery with UCL Institute of Education will have a leadership focus, whereas we will be drawing on the National Institute of Teaching’s school-led foundation to focus on delivery of NPQLBC this autumn.

To apply for an NPQ with us:
- For UCL Institute of Education programmes: find detailed guidance , and select ‘Â鶹´«Ã½ Educational Leadership Centre’ when prompted on the enrolment form
- For NPQLBC with National Institute of Teaching: apply and select ‘NETSP’ when prompted to select a region or associate college
