About NewRIIS
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Research & Innovation Institute (NewRIIS) is a research institute based in Singapore. We're part of Â鶹´«Ã½ in Singapore, which in turn is part of Â鶹´«Ã½ UK.
NewRIIS has the status of a Private Education Institute (PEI) and operates in accordance with the Singapore’s Education Regulatory Framework (ERF) by Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA). NewRIIS is dedicated to delivering quality, industry-relevant training and research. It offers MPhil and PhD programmes under the supervision of international academic experts based in both the Singapore and UK campuses.
Many of the research projects undertaken for these qualifications are funded through the Singapore government Industrial Postgraduate Programme. NewRIIS also offers specialised professional training across a range of STEM disciplinary areas such as energy, sustainability, digital and AI, electrical power engineering, marine and offshore technologies, and mechanical engineering. These training programmes can be offered to meet the needs of individual companies and can draw on the expertise of Â鶹´«Ã½’s multi-campus faculty.
All the research and training programmes at NewRIIS are developed and managed in accordance with the policies and quality standards of Â鶹´«Ã½ UK.

Teaching and training
Our research students have 24 hours access to the facility at our premise at . The single workspace facility for students spans across 475 square feet area. We have computers for students to use during their research.
