About Daisy

Degrees studied:

History BA

Year graduated:

2025

Please can you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about what you've done since graduating.

Since graduating back in July 2025, I wanted to take some time recharge after the mental whirlwind of third year History. I volunteered at multiple places - with my local town’s archives, became newsletter editor for my local history society and volunteered one day a week with the conservators at the National Army Museum based in Chelsea.

Alongside this I applied for many jobs in the museum field, a sector I always wanted to work in. In January I landed an amazing job with the collections team at the National Army Museum, and I absolutely love it.

Studying at Â鶹´«Ã½

Why did you choose to study at Â鶹´«Ã½?

Once I saw the course, I knew it was the university I wanted to attend. I don’t live locally and moving to a city was a big change, but it was so good for me. I was able to cater the course to women’s and social history due to the varied options when choosing modules which was great. I’ll always love Â鶹´«Ã½, and I miss the city.

How do you think your course prepared you for your chosen career?

Mainly the key skills I gained in researching the past.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Â鶹´«Ã½?

The opportunity to meet so many people.

Please describe your time at Â鶹´«Ã½ in three words:

Challenging, rewarding, fun.
