Â鶹´«Ã½ in Singapore (NUIS) successfully hosted the Global Summer Camp Singapore 2026 from 29 June to 4 July, welcoming 19 students from Â鶹´«Ã½ (UK), alongside participants from across the region. Student ambassadors from the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)–Â鶹´«Ã½ joint degree programme also supported the week-long programme, fostering meaningful cross-cultural exchanges.

The camp combined academic workshops, industry visits and a team-based industry challenge centred on sustainability, innovation and future-ready solutions. Students gained valuable insights through sustainability-focused sessions led by NUIS academics and visits to the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) and the Singapore Sustainability Academy (SSA).

A highlight of the programme was the industry project, where multidisciplinary teams developed practical solutions to real-world challenges provided by Universal (Far East) Pte Ltd, WSP and Solis Marine. The camp concluded with students presenting their recommendations to company representatives and receiving feedback from industry professionals.

The programme provided participants with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of sustainability, collaborate across cultures and engage directly with industry leaders, creating lasting personal and professional connections.
