Listening support
Our Listening Support scheme offers you a one-off or regular conversation with a member of the Pastoral Care team.
Counselling support
Our Counselling Team support students through a provision of time-focused counselling, and by facilitating access to long-term counselling or specialist mental health care.
Student Finance support
If you have questions or concerns about how your bereavement may affect your finances, our Student Finance Advisers are here to help. They can offer a one‑to‑one meeting to discuss your financial situation and provide guidance on the options available to you. Book an appointment at a time that suits you
Student Bereavement Group
We will also be facilitating a Student Bereavement Support group from Autumn 2026.

TalkCampus
TalkCampus is a free-to-download app where you can talk with other students from around the world if you’re struggling and worried about your mental health.
Nightline
is a student-run listening service providing emotional support and information, open every night during term time by phone (8pm-8am) and IM (8pm-midnight).
Be Well@NCL
Be Well@NCL is a collection of tried and tested books we've chosen in partnership with our student health and wellbeing service and other health professionals. You and anyone at the university can borrow these books to help understand and manage your mental health and wellbeing.
